Format: Horror/ Thriller feature film.

Log line: Paranormal bloggers up their game seeking ghostly activity in an abandoned mining town. Instead they come across a cannibalistic clan of gold seekers who’ll just as happily kill what they can’t scare away.

Tag line: Be Careful What You Wish For.

Premise: Beautiful American Twenty-Somethings, out to thrill themselves by chasing spirits of souls long forgotten, unearth far more than what they’d been looking for during a ghost town exploration of The Australian Outback – and it’s not supernatural.

Tone: This is a fast paced, at times humorous ride, which seems innocuous and safe while in the defunct mining town – until the reveal of the mine inhabitants when it turns dark and threatening.

Audience: Four quadrant, aimed especially at those who squirmed through cult classics like BLAIR WITCH, THE HILLS HAVE EYES, and WOLF CREEK.

Back Story: Friends since high school, our six protagonists continue their relationship with each other by getting together once a month for a paranormal expedition that could set their blog viral.

Primary Conflict: Initially, it seems it’s the town itself. That’s soon dashed when it’s discovered the surrounding hills are inhabited by a crazed fifth generation of gold rush descendants literally surviving off the ill-fated tourists who aren’t frightened enough to leave on their own.

Secondary Conflict: Drew Wiley and Abbie Robertson: our two main characters, recently in a relationship that they’re struggling to patch up while Abbie contends with the possibility that she may be pregnant.

Ill-fated Good Guys: Trey Evans: ex-military, the bloggers moral compass and designated bad ass. Stacey Wu: Abbie’s BFF and the flirty, overly sweet eye candy. TK: never met a mirror he didn’t like and Stacey’s flavor-of-the-month. Kevin MacDonald: group’s superfluous practical jokester who’s constantly pissing off the others with his outlandish gross pranks.

Demented Bad Guys: Crazed family and residents of the mines bent on finding a long lost, but cursed, gold vein. Buzz Mayfield: Patriarch, provider and local butcher of the clan. Huge, fierce and hard to tell if he’s inhuman or stupid. Or both. Junior: goofy-faced drooling image of his old man and a walking billboard for the dangers of inbreeding. Belle: she’s the fiery and horny mad daughter who hasn’t seen a hairdresser or dentist in years. If ever. In order to secure the ancestral dynasty she’s carrying Junior’s baby.
