A Pursuit of Creative Art Forms
DMR Photography
DMR Photography is the pursuit of David Raynor's passions for both the still and moving images.

David Maxwell Raynor after finishing hairdressing in the early 1990s decided to take up photography, shooting mainly art/fashion. He tested for Vogue Australia and had advertising published in mode magazine. He also worked with the top agencies including Chadwicks, Chic, Vivian’s and Cameron’s through the 1990s. In the late 90s he had a photographic exhibition in Sydney which was called “Dans Ma Mason” featuring his fiancée at the time Sue Smithers, an Australian high-profile international model.
In early 2000 he decided to postpone his photographic career because of the digital revolution. He didn’t believe that this was a pure form of photography because he used only film, light meters, and medium format cameras. Point and shoot was not his idea of creating beautiful photography. He did his own processing and printing of film so that he could create the best images in his eyes.
So, David decided to look into filmmaking, which is his career at the moment. However, photography and the art of creating images has always been a motivational force in his creative career. While photography has always been close to his heart he realised at some stage when digital came close to film, as far as quality, then he would continue with the still artform.
Combining the moving image with the still image as a career David is now pursuing both creative art forms. Unfortunately, some years ago his portfolio and most of his images were stolen. So this is a new and exciting phase in his life. He did however manage to save some of his photos, and these have been posted on this page.
